A Women's Wellness Retreat on Cape Cod

January 8-10, 2027

The Retreat

Winter has a way of asking us to slow down. But how often do we actually listen?

After the rush of the holidays, the endless to-do lists, and the pressure to begin a new year with a whole new version of ourselves, what if we chose something different?

What if we simply allowed ourselves to be?

Welcome to Wintering, a two-night women's wellness retreat on Cape Cod, designed around the quieter rhythms of the season.

For one beautiful weekend at The Uncommoner Hotel, we'll trade our responsibilities and routines for yoga, meditation, sound healing, creative exploration, nourishing meals, and meaningful connection.

We'll move our bodies, quiet our minds, make things with our hands, linger over delicious food, and maybe spend an afternoon floating in the warm indoor pool.

There will be laughter. There will be rest. There will be room for whatever you need.

No resolutions. No pressure to reinvent yourself. No expectation to emerge as a brand-new person.

Just an invitation to slow down, turn inward, and remember that there's beauty in every season—including this one.

Come as you are. Leave a little more connected to yourself.

Your Home for the Weekend

Tucked away on Cape Cod, The Uncommoner Hotel will be our home for two nights of rest, connection, and a little winter magic.

Think cozy accommodations, freshly prepared meals, an indoor pool, and the simple luxury of having nowhere else you need to be.

Whether you're coming with your best friend or treating yourself to a weekend away, we've made room for both connection and solitude.

PRIVATE ACCOMMODATIONS

A room of your own. Unpack, unwind, and enjoy a little personal sanctuary between yoga sessions, creative workshops, and time spent together.

SHARED ACCOMMODATIONS

Bring a friend and share the experience! Enjoy the comfort of a shared room while making memories together throughout the weekend.

Whichever you choose, the retreat experience is the same: nourishing food, thoughtful practices, meaningful connection, and plenty of room to simply be.

The Wintering Experience

There is something beautiful about slowing down in the middle of winter.

From Friday evening through Sunday morning, we'll create space for movement, stillness, creativity, and connection—with a full Saturday devoted to the Wintering experience.

Our mornings will begin with yoga and meditation, inviting us to move mindfully and settle into the quieter rhythms of the season.

We'll gather for creative workshops where the focus isn't on making something perfect, but on enjoying the simple pleasure of making something with our hands.

Because this is Mako, there will be laughter, good conversation, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends.

Meet Your Leader

I'm Mandy—founder of Mako Retreats, yoga teacher, lifelong adventurer, and someone who believes deeply in the power of bringing people together.

I've been teaching yoga for more than 16 years, from classrooms and studios to some pretty extraordinary places around the world. As an RYT-500 and E-RYT-200, I bring a love of alignment, yogic philosophy, and a little playfulness to every practice.

I created Mako because I believe that stepping outside our routines—even for a weekend close to home—can open the door to meaningful connection.

Wintering is an invitation to embrace the quieter season, make space for yourself, and experience the joy of slowing down alongside other women.

Expect thoughtful yoga, laughter, good conversation, and a weekend where you can show up exactly as you are.
